The design of this city center is inspired by the concept of a jewel necklace. The materials have inherent shine and sparkle to create playful yet elegant atmosphere for staff members, visitors, and guests attending receptions and conferences in the beautiful city of La Jolla, the jewel by the sea.

A large central atrium with fiber optic lights infused into a tree sculpture provides diffused daylight for the majority of the building, which cuts electricity usage vastly.
